Artist Stitches Ballpark, City Together
Inspired by the stiches on a baseball, artist Derek Parker from North Adams (MA) is installing a new sculpture at Clipper Magazine Stadium, home of the indy pro Lancaster Barnstormers (Atlantic League). The red-painted metal plates arranged along the walkway in front of the stadium metaphorically stitch together the team’s home and the city around it. Read more and view photo here.
Barnstormers, Clipper Magazine Stadium to Host Lancaster vs. York Hockey Classic
The Ice Park at Clipper Magazine Stadium, home of the indy pro Lancaster Barnstormers (Atlantic League), will host its first ever sanctioned hockey game on Jan. 9. The midget hockey battle will pit Lancaster’s Regency Panthers against the York Devils. This is not quite the NHL or ECHL, but it should be a lot of fun nevertheless. Read more here.
