CHS Field Receives 2016 AIA Honor Award

Rosemont (IL) Reveals Plans for American Association Ballpark

American Association Logo High-ResUnder plans revealed Tuesday by Rosemont (IL) Mayor Brad Stephens, a new American Association baseball franchise would take up residence at proposed $50-$60 million, 7,000-seat baseball stadium in 2018.  The preliminary site plan was developed by Minneapolis-based Snow Kreilich Architects, which designed CHS Field, home of the league’s St. Paul Saints.  Read more here.

Light Rail Will Allow Fans to ‘Railgate’ Between Twins and Saints Games

St. Paul Saints Hat LogoOfficials with the city of St. Paul, the St. Paul Saints (Indy Pro, American Association) and Metro Transit are promoting “railgating” before games at the new Lowertown ballpark, which is a block away from the Green Line’s terminus at Union Depot.  For the inaugural home series starting at CHS Field Thursday, Metro Transit will offer free rides two hours before and after Saints games.  Read more here.

Saints Officials Tour New Ballpark

Sod Being Installed at Saints New Ballpark

St. Paul Saints Hat LogoSt. Paul (MN) Mayor Chris Coleman and Mudonna, the mascot for the indy pro St. Paul Saints (American Association), were on site Wednesday, as crews began laying 95,000 square feet of Wisconsin-raised grass at CHS Field, the soon-to-be Lowertown home for the two-decades-old ball club.  The sod project is expected to be completed by Friday.  Read more and watch video here.

Grass Installed Today at CHS Field

St. Paul Saints Hat LogoSt. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman will be the first to break in the freshly-laid sod on Wednesday morning when he plays catch at CHS Field, the new home under construction for the indy pro St. Paul Saints (American Assocation).  Contractors affiliated with the Ryan Companies will begin laying sod at 8 a.m.  The mayor is expected to take the mound around 11 a.m.  Read more here.
