New Baseball Stadium Proposed for Kansas City Area

Barnstormers Baseball LogoA $12-million baseball stadium is being proposed as part of a 40-unit seniors housing project in the Martin City area of Kansas City (MO).  The ballpark would house Barnstormers Baseball, an organization founded by Karl Carswell in 1996 to train and develop young baseball players.  Read more here.  There is no indication that the stadium would also serve as the home for a summer collegiate or minor league team, but Continue reading

Bringing Baseball Back to Junction City

Junction City (KS) commissioner Cecil Aska is among a number of local folks working to bring a summer collegiate baseball team back to Junction City in time for the 2013 season.  Read more here.  As you might recall, the independent summer collegiate Junction City (KS) Generals played four seasons at historic Rathert Stadium before shutting down before the 2011 season.
