Ducks Sign 10-Year Ballpark Lease Extension

The Long Island Ducks (Independent Professional, Atlantic League) celebrated 20 seasons of baseball Friday, and at least 10 more are on the way.  As a capper to the pregame ceremony honoring the milestone before the Ducks faced the High Point Rockers at Bethpage Ballpark, team founder and CEO Frank Boulton signed a 10-year extension on the ballpark’s lease with Suffolk County.  Read more here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the heads up.

Ducks Unveil 2018 Promo Schedule

The Long Island Ducks (Independent Professional, Atlantic league) have announced the team’s preliminary promotional schedule for the 2018 All-Star Summer.  Fans will be treated to several exciting theme nights, giveaway items and much more in celebration of the team’s 19th season on Long Island.  The schedule is highlighted by the 21st annual Atlantic League All-Star Game, which will be hosted by the Ducks for the third time (2002, 2010).  Read more here.

L.I. Ducks Awarded 2018 Atlantic League All-Star Game, Unveil Logo

PRESS RELEASE – The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) today announced that the 2018 Atlantic League All-Star Game will be hosted by the Long Island Ducks at Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip, N.Y. The decision was announced following the league Board of Directors meeting where the Ducks formally accepted the opportunity to host.

Introducing: The “New” Bethpage Ballpark

PRESS RELEASE – On Wednesday evening, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, the Long Island Ducks and representatives from the Suffolk County Department of Public Works unveiled the team’s brand new LED field lighting system. Following the ceremonies, the Ducks took the field under the new lights for the very first time for the team’s final workout prior to the start of the 2017 season.

Long Island Ducks to Introduce ‘Duck Tail Ale’ in 2017

PRESS RELEASE – The Long Island Ducks today announced that the Atlantic League club is teaming up with local brewer, Great South Bay Brewery, to produce a private label craft brew dubbed “Duck Tail Ale”. The beer will be produced in Bay Shore at Great South Bay Brewery, delivered to Bethpage Ballpark by Long Island’s Clare Rose Distributors, Inc., and served cold to thirsty Ducks fans of age all season long.

Ducks Complete Ballpark Field Makeover

PRESS RELEASE – The Long Island Ducks have announced the completion of a playing field makeover at Bethpage Ballpark, home of the Atlantic League club for 17 years. The natural grass field has been completely replaced for the first time since 2008 and will be on display for all to see on Opening Night in 2017.

Ducks Break Single Game Attendance Record

The Long Island Ducks (Independent Professional, Atlantic League) defeated the Sugar Land Skeeters 5-2 on Sunday night before a past-capacity crowd of 7,602 at Bethpage Ballpark, the largest single game attendance in franchise history.  Read more here.

Ducks to Debut New Beer Garden

PRESS RELEASE – In celebration of National Beer Day, the three-time Atlantic League champion Long Island Ducks today announced the debut of a brand new Beer Garden at Bethpage Ballpark in 2016.
