Cape Cod League Votes to Cancel 2020 Season

PRESS RELEASE – The Cape Cod Baseball League Executive Committee has voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Cape Cod Baseball League season. The decision was based on the health concerns and safety needs of all involved. Following CDC guidelines and medical recommendations, the league determined it would be impossible to guarantee the safety of players, coaches, umpires, host families, volunteers and fans during this unprecedented health crisis. Gaming Facility, Cape Cod League Ballpark Proposed

Rumored for about a week, a $300 million proposal for a gaming facility off Glen Charlie Road in Wareham was announced this week by the developers Notos Group, LLC. The project would also include a hotel focused on tourism and events, multiple restaurants and entertainment facilities, and a new ballpark for the Wareham Gatemen (Summer Collegiate, Cape Cod Baseball League).  Read more and view photos here.
