Festival of Beers Returns to Canal Park
The Ballpark Festival of Beers returns to Canal Park in downtown Akron (OH) on Sept. 5. The beer tasting event, hosted by the Akron RubberDucks (Double-A, Eastern League) and presented by Goose Island, runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and gives beer connoisseurs a chance to sample brews while on the baseball field. Akron Approves 25-Year Lease Deal
The Akron (OH) City Council has unanimously approved a lease deal with the Double-A Akron Aeros (Eastern League) to keep the team at Canal Park for the next 25 years. The Aeros were recently purchased by Ken Babby, former chief revenue officer/general manager of digital at the Washington Post. Read more here.

Akron Contemplating Improvements to Canal Park
