More information about the future of the Butler BlueSox, as well as the future name of Kelly Automotive Park, could be revealed at a special meeting next week. Read more here. In a news release issued earlier this month, Butler BlueSox Baseball Organization, the team’s ownership group, announced the club would be leaving the Prospect League (Summer Collegiate) after 10 seasons. Butler Facilities Authority Disbands
The city of Butler’s Parks and Recreation Ground and Facilities Authority, which operates the indebted Kelly Automotive Park baseball stadium, home of the summer collegiate Butler Blue Sox (Prospect League), voted to disband Monday. The Pullman Park Trust will apparently take over management of the stadium. Read more here.

The head of Butler’s (PA) Redevelopment Authority, which owns Pullman Park, home of the summer collegiate Butler Blue Sox (Prospect League), has told the city that the agency is “insolvent” and can no longer meet its financial obligations. Read more here.

Stadium Authority Behind on Butler (PA) Ballpark Payments
The city of Butler’s cash-strapped Parks and Recreation Grounds and Facilities Authority, often referred to as the stadium authority, has missed three mortgage payments, each of about $9,000, on a $1.7 million mortgage for Kelly Automotive Park, more commonly known as Pullman Park.
