IFC’s ‘Brockmire’ to Begin Shooting Soon at Macon’s Luther Williams Field
A film crew is scheduled to begin shooting a new TV series in Macon (GA) next week, and historic Luther Williams Field will play a key role. The series, called Brockmire, is about a famed but fallen Major League Baseball announcer, played by actor Hank Azaria, who is trying to revive his career after an embarrassing on-air meltdown. The Only ‘Voice of the Bees’ Since 1994 to Call 3,000th Game Tuesday
PRESS RELEASE – Veteran radio broadcaster Steve Klauke will announce his 3,000th game for the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday afternoon at Smith’s Ballpark when the Bees play the Nashville Sounds. Mets to Honor Legendary Broadcaster with Jersey Patch
The New York Mets will wear a patch on the right sleeve of their jerseys in honor of Hall of Famer and legendary Mets broadcaster Ralph Kiner, who died on Feb. 6 at the age of 91. Longtime Broadcaster Memorialized at Petco Park
A memorial service was held Saturday at Petco Park for Jerry Coleman, who served as broadcaster for the San Diego Padres for four decades. Coleman, 89, died Jan. 5. He won four World Series titles with the New York Yankees and was the only major leaguer who saw combat in both World War II and Korea, flying a combined 120 missions as a Marine Corps pilot.
