Brewers Unveil Uecker Statue
The Milwaukee Brewers dedicated a new 7-foot-tall bronze statue of beloved player and broadcaster Bob “Mr. Baseball” Uecker during a ceremony outside Miller Park Friday. The “Ueck” joins three others outside the main gates, including statutes honoring Hall of Famers Hank Aaron and Robin Yount, and Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig. Read more and view video here.

Carson Park Celebrates 75 Years
Historic Carson Park, home of the summer collegiate Eau Claire Express (Northwoods League), is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. Many players coming up through the ranks did their time at the old stadium, including home-run king Hank Aaron, who is honored with a statue on the front plaza, Joe Torre, and Bob “Mr. Baseball” Uecker. ‘Mr. Baseball’ to be Honored Outside Miller Park

Yount, Uecker Team Up to Bring ‘Lakeshore Chinooks’ to Mequon (WI)
Milwaukee Brewers Hall of Famer Robin Yount and Brewers announcer Bob “Mr. Baseball” Uecker have joined with majority owner Jim Kacmarcik and nine others to launch the summer collegiate Northwoods League’s expansion Lakeshore Chinooks. The team will begin play next season at a new $3.4 million Kapco Park on the campus of Concordia University in Mequon (WI). Continue reading
