Biloxi Ballpark Vote Next Tuesday
The Biloxi (MS) city council will vote next Tuesday on whether to back a $21 million bond to help finance construction of a downtown baseball stadium for a Double-A Southern League franchise. The vote will come after a public hearing scheduled for 10 a.m. at City Hall. The state has already approved a $15 million grant for the project. Read more here.

Biloxi Team Owner-To-Be Seeking Action on Ballpark Proposal
Minor-league team owner Ken Young said Thursday that he’s hoping for a vote by the end of the month on the proposed new downtown Biloxi (MS) stadium so it can be built in time for the start of the 2015 season. Biloxi Looks to 2015
The developing baseball stadium project in Biloxi (MS) appears to be alive and well, but as the window closes for 2014, Overtime Sports chief Tim Bennett says “It’s getting to the point where we may have to look at 2015, or try to start the season in another city and move it to Biloxi at mid-season next year.” Read more here and here.
