Two Bidders for Atlantic City’s Bader Field
Two companies made bids for Bader Field on Thursday. Legend Properties, based in Cherry Hill, and Bader Field Development LLC, located in Long Branch, were reportedly the only two to offer money for the former municipal airport adjacent to The Sandcastle, former home of the Atlantic City Surf (Independent Professional, Can-Am League/Atlantic League). Back in Business for ‘The Sandcastle’
After $260,000 in repairs, Bernie Robbins Stadium (aka “The Sandcastle”), former home of the indy pro Atlantic City Surf, is ready for the three-day Dave Matthews Band festival June 24 to 26 and the Atlantic City Summer Fest music concert on July 2. Hang On, Ballpark Help is On It’s Way!
It looks like “The Sandcastle” in Atlantic City (NJ) will live to fight another day. The Atlantic City Council voted on Wednesday to reallocate $300 million in bonding dollars to bring the deteriorating former home of the Altlantic City Surf back to life. Read more here.
