Memphis Council Changes Terms, Delays Vote on AutoZone Park Deal

A Moody Outlook for City’s Debt in AutoZone Park Deal

Downtown Memphis Commission Approves Bond Funding for AutoZone Park, Contingent Upon City Council Vote

Memphis Redbirds LogoThe Center City Revenue Finance Corp. on Wednesday unanimously voted to issue up to $27 million in sports facility revenue bonds for the city’s acquisition of AutoZone Park, home of the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds (Pacific Coast League), which is a prerequisite to – and conditioned on – the Memphis City Council approving a $20 million deal next Monday to buy out of the facility.  Read more here.

Redbirds Getting New Giant Video Board

The Triple-A Memphis Redbirds (Pacific Coast League) have inked a deal with South Dakota-based Daktronics to replace AutoZone Park’s original 23 feet by 30 feet video board with a giant 60 feet by 60 feet HD display.  Read more here.
