PRESS RELEASE – The Australian Baseball League’s newest team will be known as the Auckland Tuatara. The New Zealand expansion team announced today it would be called Tuatara and adopt teal and navy blue – which have a strong link to the region’s marine heritage – as its colours.

Perth Wins Back-to-Back ABL Titles
The Perth Heat repeated as Australian Baseball League champions early this morning (U.S. time), as they defeated the Melbourne Aces 7-6 in 13 innings in deciding Game 3 of the 2012 ABL Championship Series. We caught the game via web streaming. Despite the pre-sunrise hour, it was great to get a little baseball fix in February. There were a few interesting commercials during the broadcast too. MLB-Backed Australian Baseball League to Begin Play in November
