The ‘Fenway Bowl’ Announced

Add another bowl game to the mix — the “Fenway Bowl” at Fenway Park.  The century-old baseball park will host a matchup between teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the American Athletic Conference (AAC), starting in 2020.  Read more here.

UConn Releases Feasibility Report for New Ballpark, Other Athletic Facilities

uconn-huskiesBased on a newly released feasibility study from the University of Connecticut, a fair share of the Huskies’ athletic programs may be receiving upgrades to their home facilities in the not-so-distant future.  The report, put together by architecture firm Populous, includes a new ballpark for the UConn baseball team.  Read more here.  View report here.

Marlins Park to Host College Football Bowl Game

Miami Marlins New LogoCollege football will return to the former site of the Orange Bowl in December 2014, as the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl will be played at Marlins Park, home of the Miami Marlins.   The game will feature a team from the American Athletic Conference (formerly the Big East) and Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference or Sun Belt Conference.  Read more here.
