Amarillo Sox LogoMark Lee, the nine-year general manager of the indy pro Amarillo Sox (American Association), confirmed Thursday that he has been fired by Southern Independent Baseball LLC (SIB), the owner of the Sox.  Lee said he was informed of the news in a face-to-face meeting with SIB Chairman of the Board Gary Elliston on Sept. 18.  Read more here.

Grass Installed Today at CHS Field

St. Paul Saints Hat LogoSt. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman will be the first to break in the freshly-laid sod on Wednesday morning when he plays catch at CHS Field, the new home under construction for the indy pro St. Paul Saints (American Assocation).  Contractors affiliated with the Ryan Companies will begin laying sod at 8 a.m.  The mayor is expected to take the mound around 11 a.m.  Read more here.
