Avon Transfers Ballpark Lease to New Team Operator

Lake Erie CrushersThe Avon (OH) City Council has approved transferring the All Pro Freight Stadium lease to Blue Dog Baseball LLC led by Tom Kramig, which signed a deal with Avon Pro Baseball LLC to take over the day-to-day operations of the Lake Erie Crushers (Independent Professional, Frontier League), with the option to purchase the team outright within a year.  Read more here.

Let There Be Lights (Again)

All Pro Freight Stadium, home of the indy pro Lake Erie Crushers (Frontier League), has new lights.  As you recall, back in December, one the facility’s light towers toppled over in a storm.  This prompted an inspection and determination that all eight light towers should be replaced.  Read more and view video clip here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the link.

All Pro Freight Stadium Gets Tax Relief

Ohio Governor John Kasich has signed into law legislation that extends the property tax exemption for affiliated, municipally-owned stadiums to non-affiliated ballparks.  This new benefit will apply to All Pro Freight Stadium, home of the indy pro Frontier League’s Lake Erie Crushers.  Read more here.
