Tailgating Tradition Carries on at New Alex Box
We’re stuck here in Minnesota with piles of snow and sub-zero temperatures this time of year, so you can imagine the jealously we experienced when we read about the folks down in Louisiana who have carried over their fun in the sun-filled, family-oriented tailgating tradition to the new Alex Box Stadium, home of the LSU Tigers. The Old Alex Box: Gravel in the Wind
Old Alex Box Stadium at Louisiana State University was leveled earlier this year. It is now nothing more than a temporary gravel parking lot near Tiger Stadium, where at least one fan paid $3,000 for the season to park his tailgating RV on “hallowed ground” for LSU football games. The field lights and the flagpoles used to proudly display LSU baseball championship flags remain in place — for now. Read more here.
