The Double-A Akron Aeros (Eastern League) are expected to make a big announcement Tuesday that could include the unveiling of new logo and color scheme, and possibly a name change too. In 2011, the Aeros held a re-branding contest, and 67 percent of fans chose to keep the Aeros name over four other finalists — RubberDucks, Vulcans, Tire Jacks, and Gum Dippers. The Double-A Akron Aeros (Eastern League) on Saturday will giving away to the first 1,000 fans through the gates at Canal Park a one-of-a-kind snow globe featuring Roger Dorn — the fictional Cleveland Indians’ third-basemen from the movie Major League!
