Washoe County, Aces Ballpark Owners Still Haggling Over Deliquent Tax Bill

Reno Council Approves Ballpark Refinancing Deal, Ball Now in Washoe County’s Court
The Reno (NV) City Council on Wednesday vote 5-2 to approve a $30 million reworked deal to refinance Aces Ballpark, home of the Triple-A Reno Aces (Pacific Coast League). The subsidy must still be approved by the Washoe County Commission, which has so far balked at the proposal. Read more here.

Aces vs. The Tax Man: Six-Month Lease on Deck
Washoe County says that Nevada Land LLC, which leases Aces Ballpark from the Reno Redevelopment Agency for the Triple-A Reno Aces (Pacific Coast League), owes $332,000 in property taxes this year and $761,000 is back taxes and penalties.
