For the past two weeks, the Traverse City Pit Spitters (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League) have been soliciting ideas for new food items to be served this season and now, the list has been whittled down to the top seven ideas. PRESS RELEASE – The Salem Red Sox have “draughted” an alternate appearance for the 2019 season. Beginning May 2, the team will take the field every Thursday as the Salem Beer Mongers in a nod to the growing craft industry.
The Sussex County Miners and New Jersey Jackals (Independent Professional, Can-Am League) are celebrating the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones with special jerseys. Of course, these are not the first and only teams to capitalize on the phenomenon. The Staten Island Yankees (Single-A, New York-Penn League), for example, actually hosted the show’s creator in 2015. And lets not forget about MLB’s promo video from last season.
The Green Bay Booyah (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League) unveiled their new flannel-inspired jersey designs and mascot named “Rocky” at the Ashwaubenon Branch Library on Saturday. Read more and watch video here.

PRESS RELEASE – The Pierre Trappers of the Expedition League announced they will be holding a “Pierre Cowboys Night” promotion on July 24th, 2019 when they take on the Hub City Hotshots and will wear Pierre Cowboys throwback jerseys.
Affordable family fun is returning to the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville for the 2019 season presented by Community First Credit Union, as the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp revealed their promotional schedule that begins on Opening Night on Thursday, April 4. On May 11, the Jumbo Shrimp will host “Vice Night.” The team will be wearing specialty Jumbo Shrimp Vice Night jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. Fans will have the opportunity to get their picture taken with Crockett and Tub(b)s, as they’ll be on the concourse for a meet and greet during the game. Read more here and here.
