PRESS RELEASE – Main Street Baseball announced today the hiring of Jonathan Harris as its first Chief Operating Officer (COO). In that role, Mr. Harris will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of each of MSB’s four minor league baseball teams, as well as working closely with the CEO, Dave Heller, to seek out, assess and evaluate future opportunities in professional sports.
Mr. Harris has spent the last 15 years in Minor League Baseball. He was previously the CFO and a Founding Partner of Professional Sports Catering, LLC (‘PSC’). In this capacity, Mr. Harris was integral to the strategic direction of PSC. He participated in all areas of the company while taking care to maintain and cultivate meaningful business partnerships with team ownership and management at all venues. PSC finished the 2017 fiscal year – its 10th year of operation – as the nation’s leading concessionaire to MiLB and spring training venues with over 30 partners and $90 million in revenue.
“I couldn’t be more excited to bring my experience in growing and nurturing a business to the MSB family. What Dave and his team have done to bring family entertainment and community involvement to the markets he partners with has been something I’ve always admired,’ said Harris. “Dave has been a client of PSC’s from the beginning and we’ve spent the last decade cultivating both a business relationship and a friendship. To have the opportunity to partner with Dave in his current and future endeavors is exciting and invigorating.”
“Jonathan Harris is one of the most knowledgeable, most insightful and most respected people in the world of sports franchise management,” said Main Street CEO Dave Heller. “He is a true entrepreneur. His experience is invaluable, his relationships numerous, and his dedication and determination to succeed are unmatched. All of us within the Main Street Baseball family of teams are thrilled to have him join us, and excited to have his unique skill set to help us grow to the next level.”
