PRESS RELEASE – Back in February when the Tulsa Drillers released their 2018 Promotion Calendar, there was a tease of 918 Nights, a Tulsa Celebration. Many people were left wondering as to what 918 Nights would entail, and now the wait is FINALLY over! Today the Tulsa Drillers are excited to release the details of 918 Nights taking place at ONEOK Field.
To pay tribute to the city that we love, July 5th-9th, the Drillers will transform from their traditional royal blue, black and white color scheme to the colors of the new Tulsa Flag! With a design inspired by the flag, the Drillers players and coaches will don a throwback uniform and cap combination on the field that will feature a modern flair. The uniforms will be navy with red, gold & beige stripes. The word Drillers will be prominent across the front in gold, with the d having the gold Native American Shield, red circle & beige star, similar to the Tulsa Flag. The sleeve of the jersey will have a gold TD, as will the caps. The Tulsa area code 918 will appear on the front of all jerseys and on the side of each cap.
Both, the jerseys and the caps will be available for purchase in the Drillers Official Team Store.
The new uniforms and caps are just a small portion as to what will happen during these nights! Prior to the Celebration, we will hold a mural contest titled “What Does Tulsa Mean to You,” with the winner painting the mural live at ONEOK Field for all fans to witness! Each of the nights, we will honor local men & women who help to make the 918 great!
We will also have something special on each of the dates. Those details are listed below.
