PRESS RELEASE – Jack Springgate, KMOT’s news reporter and personality, was named the public-address announcer for the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs for the 2018 season.
A native of the Chicago suburbs, and current KMOT news reporter, Springgate comes to the Sabre Dogs organization to gain more experience in the sport industry. His passion for sports and excitement for the Sabre Dogs is what made him the perfect candidate to be the personality for the brand.
Springgate has always been involved in sports whether it be playing in them himself or even working in the athletic department at the University of Michigan.
“I started as a crew member for our sports news shows Sportsnite and Wolverine Alley-Oop, where I anchored, reported, and helped produce,” Springgate said. “My junior year I was a full producer on Sportsnite and wound up as General Manager of WOLV TV my final year in school. I also worked as on-air talent and crew for Big Ten Student U on Michigan’s campus.”
With Springgate’s experience in reporting and in sports the Sabre Dogs are very excited to welcome him as a part of their team.
“I’m amazed by how quickly this community embraced me, so I have no doubts it will be any different with the Sabre Dogs. I can’t express my excitement to join this organization,” Springgate said.
