In early February, the Elizabethton (TN) City Council voted unanimously to set a February 28th deadline for the Minnesota Twins to commit to an improvement plan for Joe O’Brien Field, home of the Elizabethton Twins (Rookie, Appalachian League). At the time, the mayor said that if the deadline isn’t met, Elizabethton leaders would withdraw their offer. Read more here.
