‘Shrimply the Best’ Wins Fan-Designed Jumbo Shrimp T-Shirt Contest

PRESS RELEASE – Crustacean Nation selected a fan-designed T-shirt with the slogan “Shrimply the Best” as the winner in a contest to create a T-shirt giveaway for the upcoming Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp season.

Submitted by Josh Reavis of Yulee, Florida, the design will be on the shirts given to the first 2,000 fans courtesy of 121 Financial Credit Union and Atlantic Self Storage at the Jumbo Shrimp’s first Saturday home game on Saturday, April 14.

Among a set of four finalists in a Facebook vote, Reavis’ “Shrimply the Best” design garnered nearly two-thirds of the more than 1,200 votes.

“The Jacksonville area is a great for so many reasons. Any chance I have to tell others, I say it’s the best,” Reavis said of his idea for the design. “It was certainly a surprise to have it chosen as the winner. My family is looking forward to enjoying the family atmosphere of Jumbo Shrimp games this year.”

As the winner, Reavis will receive 10 tickets to the April 14 game, 15 of the winning shirts and throw a ceremonial first pitch that evening.

In total, the Jumbo Shrimp received more than 80 fan-submitted designs for the contest.

“So many of our fans impressed us with their creativity in designs. With the success of this contest, we will continue to look for opportunities to showcase the talent and creativity of Crustacean Nation,” said Jumbo Shrimp General Manager Harold Craw. “We cannot wait to open our gates for our April 11 home opener, and on April 14, give away the T-shirt on the first of our new Fireworks Saturdays.”
