Boomers Hire New General Manager

RESS RELEASE – The Schaumburg Boomers, a professional minor league baseball team serving Chicago’s northwest suburbs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Larson as General Manager.

Mr. Larson brings 13 years of sports management experience to the Boomers. He spent the last ten seasons with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks of the American Association where he served as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Ticket Operations. Prior to working with the RedHawks, Mr. Larson worked as the Director of Food and Beverage at the Pioneer League’s Idaho Falls Chukars and spent two years in Concordia College’s Sports Information Department. Larson received his M.S. degree from Georgia Southern University and his B.S. from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

In addition to his extraordinary experience, Mr. Larson brings a passion for baseball and a dedication to providing the best possible fan experience to Boomer fans.

“I am thrilled to join the incredible team at the Schaumburg Boomers. I hope to continue to build upon the incredible fan base, stadium and championship-level talent both on the field and in the front office of this world-class organization,” Mr. Larson said.

The Schaumburg Boomers are owned by Pat and Lindy Salvi of Chicago. The team, which is part of the Frontier League, strives to create positive lasting impressions by providing a product that is fun, affordable, welcoming, entertaining, and family friendly.
