PRESS RELEASE – The Northwoods League, in conjunction with streaming partner Stretch Internet, is pleased to announce that fans can now access crystal clear high definition broadcasts though custom applications on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV.
These apps will provide fans a seamless way to access content directly on their TVs – with no need to “relay” or “cast” the stream from tablets, phones or desktop computers. Users can access the content simply by searching for “Northwoods League” on the app interfaces on any of the compatible devices, and then downloading the Northwoods League app.
Fans who have already purchased subscriptions for Northwoods League TV can easily authenticate their subscriptions through the apps. Those who have not yet purchased subscriptions will need to first select and purchase a package from the Northwoods TV portal on any mobile or desktop device at http://portal.stretchinternet.com/nwl. Both live and on-demand content will be available through the apps.
“Now Northwoods League fans can enjoy an incredible in-home experience watching our high-quality broadcasts on their televisions,” said Northwoods League President Gary Hoover. “No other summer collegiate league comes close to the Northwoods League when it comes to providing its fans, players and other constituents the finest possible experience, and we love doing it.”
“We’re extremely excited to offer a suite of beautiful, intuitive apps for the Northwoods League and their teams and fans,” said Stretch Internet President and CEO Ryan Ermeling. “As the preeminent collegiate summer league, these apps will help them continue to raise the bar in providing the best fan experience possible.”
