Dash Announce Improvements at BB&T Ballpark

PRESS RELEASE – The Winston-Salem Dash are proud to announce several exciting additions to BB&T Ballpark for the 2017 season, including expanded backstop netting and a Video Wall in the Flow Club. These exciting new improvements will be ready for the Dash’s home opener on Thursday, April 13, the first of 71 home games during the 2017 season.

This offseason, Major League Baseball issued a recommendation for teams to extend their backstop netting to the point that uncovered seats are at least 70 feet from home plate. The Dash joined many Major League and Minor League organizations in extending the nets at BB&T Ballpark to the ends of the dugouts, thus improving fan safety at Dash games.

The Dash tabbed Promats Athletics, a company that has completed projects at Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium and many other ballparks, to execute this netting expansion. The new net is more than 50 percent thinner than the previous one, thus enhancing the viewing experience for fans that sit in Sections 109-113. The extended netting will also fully cover Sections 107, 108, 114 and 115 and partially cover Sections 106 and 116.

In addition, the Dash have teamed with Sharp Business Systems to install a Video Wall inside the Flow Club, the VIP season-ticket holder area at BB&T Ballpark. The Video Wall will consist of four 60″ monitors mounted in a two-by-two formation that allows for an array of viewing options. These four screens can be merged to display something on the entire Video Wall. An 80″ Touch Screen will also be present in the Flow Club.

These new enhancements accompany a jam-packed promotional schedule that includes 14 Fireworks Nights, 12 Lowes Foods Thirsty Thursdays, 10 Lowes Foods Family Sundays and much more. Single-game tickets and season-ticket packages for the 2017 season are on sale now. Fans can guarantee their seats to the biggest games by calling (336) 714-2287 or visiting wsdash.com.
