PRESS RELEASE – The 2017 season promises to be a summer filled with family-friendly entertainment at ARM & HAMMER Park, and today the Thunder announced the first round of promotions for the upcoming season.
The fun gets started on Opening Night at ARM & HAMMER Park on Thursday, April 13 at 7:00pm when the first 2,500 fans, ages 12 and older, receive Tablet Cases, presented by ARM & HAMMER.
April’s giveaways continue on Friday, April 14 and Monday, April 17 when the first 2,000 fans, ages six and older, will go home with 2017 Magnetic Schedules, presented by the Mercer County Improvement Authority. Sunday, April 15 is Kids Opening Day with a kid-friendly giveaway scheduled for the first 1,000 fans, ages 5-15. Sunday, April, 30 will send the first 1,000 fans, ages 5-15, home with a kid-friendly giveaway that will be announced at a later date.
The month of May will continue with fun giveaways beginning on Friday, May, 12. The first 1,000 fans, ages 12 and older, will get Rally Towels prior to the Thunder’s game with Harrisburg. Friday, May 19 will give the first 1,000 fans, ages 21 and older, a brand new Thunder three-piece grill set, presented by Case’s Pork Roll. Wednesday, May 24, when the Thunder host the Reading Fightin Phils will be Golf Night and the first 1,000 fans, ages 21 and older, will receive a Thunder Golf Visor upon entry. Wednesday, May 31 will feature a reversable Bucket Hat giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, ages 12 and older. The Bucket Hat giveaway will feature the newly rebranded Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets), who will make their only visit in 2017 to ARM & HAMMER Park beginning on May 30 through June 1.
Bobbleheads continue to be one of the most popular giveaways and promotions at ARM & HAMMER Park and the team will giveaway bobbleheads featuring three different players in 2017. The players commemorated in bobblehead form will be announced at a later date, however, the first giveaway will take place on Friday, July 21 when the Thunder host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The second bobblehead giveaway will take place on Friday, August, 4 and the final bobblehead giveaway of the 2017 season will take place on Friday, August 25 when the Thunder host the Richmond Flying Squirrels. All bobblehead giveaways are for the first 2,000 fans, ages 14 and older.
The team’s annual Bark at the Park promotion, presented by Dogs & Cats Rule, will take place on Sunday, August 27 at 5:00pm when the Thunder host the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Fans can bring their well-behaved dog to the game with them free of charge.
The Thunder also announced some of the theme nights scheduled for 2017 at ARM & HAMMER Park. Tuesday, April 18will be Football Night, Thursday, May 11 will be Medical Professionals Night, Sunday, May 21 will celebrate Boomer’s Birthday, Tuesday, May 23, will be Girl Scout Night, Friday, June 16 and Friday, July 21 will be Scout Sleepover nights, Saturday, June 17 and Saturday, July 22 will be Faith and Family Nights, Jewish Heritage Night is scheduled for Thursday, August 17, and Hockey Night will take place on Thursday, August 24.
Your Thunder will begin the 2017 campaign in Erie, PA and will open the home season at ARM & HAMMER Park on Thursday, April 13 when the team hosts the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox). Season tickets, Pic-a-Plans and group tickets are on-sale now by phone at 609-394-3300. Single game tickets will be available beginning in March of 2017.
