Charleston RiverDogs Primary Logo MakeoverPRESS RELEASE – The Charleston RiverDogs, in cooperation with Social Media Target, LLC, will launch THE INNOVATION LAB at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to use digital signage and social media for the purpose of entertaining and informing outdoor venue guests and sports fans.

Throughout the rest of the season, RiverDogs fans can share their experiences at the park by tweeting at the RiverDogs (@ChasRiverDogs) to share their best game photos, reactions, and experiences at Riley Park that will appear on the marquee board by the main gate.

Social Media Target LLC“We love our fans. Listening and learning to our fans is just a part of what we do here,” said RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols. “The best way to learn from our fans is to deploy various social and digital media capabilities at The Joe and listen closely to your feedback.”

With some of the details of the partnership still in development, the RiverDogs and Social Media Target, LLC will be asking for feedback from fans at Riley Park to see what technologies the company can provide to best augment the experience at the ballpark.

“Young and old outdoor venue goers all have something in common now. They all use their smart phones before, during and after the park experience to enhance their own individual experience and share that experience with others,” said John Rector, President of Social Media Target, LLC. “The Innovation Lab will allow us to design, deploy, test and get real feedback on which technologies are most pleasing to our fans at The Joe.”

With the new collaboration in place, the RiverDogs continue their weeklong homestand facing the Greenville Drive on Friday night with the first pitch set for 7:05pm.
