Arlington, Rangers Announce Plans for New Retractable-Roof Ballpark

Texas Rangers LogoCity leaders and Texas Rangers officials formally announced Friday afternoon their plans to extend the Rangers’ stay in Arlington by building a retractable-roof stadium adjacent to the existing one. The city and team would share the cost evenly, with the Rangers responsible for overruns.  Read more and view renderings here.

    Absolute sickening that their current stadium, which looks gorgeous would be demolished, for a new retractable roof toy for the team owners. With a billion dollar cost at that. Out of control, I hope the citizens vote it down. If the bluff IS called, at least the stadium would have 3 more years (until 2024)Nowdays we have regional counties playing off each other for threat leverage.
