RiverDogs to Wear ‘Holy City’ Unis on Sundays

Charleston RiverDogs Primary Logo MakeoverPRESS RELEASE – As the RiverDogs turn to their final game to face the Columbia Fireflies, they’ll embrace Charleston’s “Holy City” moniker that has defined the community as a place of unity for centuries.

The club will wear specialty uniforms that proudly display the “Holy City” namesake across their pinstriped tops with a new HC emblem on the caps in the first Holy City Sunday in one of the newest weekly promotions in the 20th season at Riley Park

“There’s been a lot of buzz about the new Sunday uniforms going back to the end of last season when we rolled out our refreshed logos,” said RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols. “Along with the new uniforms, I think our fans will really take to the Holy City theme prevalent throughout our Sunday games that have always been a great place for the families, religious communities, and baseball fans to enjoy an evening out.”

Along with the weekly Sunday rebranding, fans will be encouraged throughout the game to show off their famous Charlestonian hospitality by greeting one another and extending hands in friendship as they make their way to their seats.

In association with Charleston County Parks & Recreation and Y102.5, every Sunday is also a Kids Club Sunday where fans enjoy free parking and Lowcountry youth eat for free, enjoy pregame catch on the field, and run the bases postgame presented by CPI Security.

The RiverDogs wrap up a four-game series with the Columbia Fireflies, with the first pitch scheduled for 5:05pm on Sunday before they welcome the Asheville Tourists to town for a three-game series to wrap up their seven-game homestand to kick off the 20th season at The Joe.
