Price Cutter Park Undergoing Renovations, Will Host Summer Collegiate League

Show Me Collegiate League LogoPrice-Cutter Park, the former home of the defunct Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks (Independent, Central Baseball League), is undergoing renovations after Oklahoma businessman Jeff Williams purchased the facility this winter.  Improvements include artificial turf and LED videoboard.  The stadium will be home of the new four-team Show Me Collegiate League operated by U.S. Baseball.  Read more and watch news report here.

    Summer collegiate ball is easy to do. There are a lot of college kids playing baseball; the operator doesn’t have to pay the players or worry about the quality of play, and for the fan, it’s our town’s baseball team. Just don’t think that 6000 people are going to show up every night.
