PRESS RELEASE – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Double-A Affiliate of the World Champion Kansas City Royals, along with the City of Springdale, are excited to announce plans for a new state-of-the-art HD videoboard at Arvest Ballpark.
Produced by Daktronics, the new LED 13HD videoboard will not only be a significant facility upgrade but it will also enhance the overall fan experience at Arvest Ballpark. The previous videoboard that was installed prior to the 2008 season, the Naturals inaugural season, had an active area of 15.75′ x 29′ whereas the new videoboard that will be installed prior to the upcoming 2016 season will provide an active display area of approximately 16.8′ tall by 66′ wide.
“We’re extremely excited about adding this new technology to Arvest Ballpark,” said Naturals General Manager Justin Cole. “It allows us to bring our fans high quality content, statistics, and video throughout each Naturals game. We can’t wait for our fans to see it on April 7th during Opening Night.”
In addition to the larger display area, fans will enjoy the better resolution as the new LED 13HD videoboard will go from 16mm 300×552 to 13mm 392×1540. The new higher resolution combined with a new fully encapsulated module design and brighter display image will offer fans crisp, clear imagery no matter where your seat is located at the ballpark.
Another key feature will be the variable content zoning that the new HD videoboard will provide. Variable content zoning gives the capability to show one large image on it or divide the screen into multiple windows so that fans can see any mixture of live camera shots, instant replays, player stats, lineups, graphics and animations, as well as sponsored promotions.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will return to action on Thursday, April 7 of 2016 when they host the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to begin Season Nine of Naturals Baseball at
Arvest Ballpark.
