PRESS RELEASE – Over the team’s 50-year history, the Reading Fightin Phils have constantly improved the 66-year old FirstEnergy Stadium with ballpark renovations and enhancements. In 2016, the red carpet will be rolled out to fans with the Savage61 Dugout Suite, the team’s newest addition to America’s Classic Ballpark.
The Savage61 Dugout Suite will be located on the first base side of FirstEnergy Stadium and will feature a customized VIP experience for Fightins fans. Sitting 18 inches below ground level, the authentic dugout area accommodates 56 people and features comfortable seating incredibly close to the action on field, personal waitress service, and the option to purchase the Dugout Suite-exclusive Bull’s BBQ, all-you-can-eat buffet, and open bar with beer, wine, and mixed drinks. A ticket to the Dugout Suite also allows access to a pre-game cocktail warning track party where you can meet members of the Fightins team.
“The Savage61 Dugout Suite will offer our fans top of the line VIP treatment right here in America’s Classic Ballpark,” said Fightins General Manager Scott Hunsicker. “Everyone wants to sit in the dugout, and now you can. We have been searching for many years for the right place to introduce this level of VIP treatment with waitress service and we finally have found the perfect place to do so. The Savage61 Dugout Suite will fit the nostalgic atmosphere of FirstEnergy Stadium and a whole new perspective in one of baseball’s most unique settings. We are always looking for ways to improve America’s Classic Ballpark, and we thank Savage61 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for partnering with us on this awesome project.”
The privately-funded $200,000 improvement and will be completed in approximately eight weeks, and will be ready to make its debut for the March 31st Phillies Future Game. The Savage 61 Dugout Suite is America Classic Ballpark’s most upscale seating area in the ballpark’s history. 34 seats in the front row are chair height while the area has 22 comfortable bar stool seats in the second row, beneath the dugout roof. Both rows feature a counter in front of the seats running the entire length of the dugout. Much like the Fightins team dugout, all the seats are protected by netting in the front and will have an authentic dugout bench along the back wall. The area is also completely handicapped accessible–making the new area available to everyone.
The Savage 61 Dugout Suite will be available to both groups and to individual ticket purchasers. From now until February 1st, the Fightins are exclusively booking group outings in the Savage61 Dugout Suite for the 2016 season. Tickets for the new area are $25 and include the option to add food and drink through the Fightins Concierge Program. Individual tickets for all games, including Savage 61 Dugout Suite tickets, will go on sale February 18th. Group tickets for the Dugout Suite and Concierge options are available now by calling 610-370-BALL or by stopping by the Fightins Box Office located at FirstEnergy Stadium.
