Voters in Amarillo (TX) supported, by a margin of 52 percent to 48 percent, including a ballpark in a downtown multipurpose event venue. The difference came down to 820 votes out of more than 22,000 cast. The non-binding referendum was meant to measure public opinion of the plan. The city council will have to decide whether or not to move forward with the development. The pro baseball tenant and ballpark operator have yet to be determined. Read more here.
