The Chanhassen, MN native graduated from the University of Minnesota-Mankato with a Sport Management degree in 2012. He began his career in baseball with an internship for the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League in 2012 and then a Stadium Operations internship in 2013 with the Arkansas Travelers, Class-AA affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, before moving to Beloit. In 2014, Flolid was hired as the Director of Operations before being promoted to Assistant General Manager during the 2014 season.
“It’s an exciting time to be in Beloit and be a part of the Snappers”, said Flolid. “I look forward to building on the successes we have had through the years and continuing to grow with this community.”
The move comes after the team has successfully increased corporate partnerships and fan attendance the last two seasons.
Team President, Dennis Conerton was appointed as acting GM by the Board of Directors after former General Manager, Matt Bosen, left following the 2013 season.
“I have had the opportunity to work with Seth for the past two seasons, most recently when he was our Assistant General Manager”, stated Conerton. “The Board’s decision to appoint him GM was a natural transition we had hoped would be possible when he joined the organization as Director of Operations back in January of 2014”, said Conerton. “Seth has been well received by our fans and corporate partners alike and has quickly become acclimated to our community and our market. I look forward to working with him in the years ahead.”
The Snappers will open their 35th season in the Stateline as the team begins the 2016 season at Pohlman Field against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Thursday, April 7th, 2016. The Beloit Snappers are a member of the Midwest League and are a fourth year affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
