Northwoods League Hires VP of Licensing and Technology

Northwoods League Logo wo WordmarkPRESS RELEASE – The Northwoods League announced today the hire of Tina Coil as Vice President, Licensing and Technology. Tina comes to the league with 17 years of baseball experience, serving 16 years with Minor League Baseball and spending the last year as a consultant.

Northoods League CoilPrior to going out on her own as a consultant, Coil was the Vice President of Business Development at Minor League Baseball. As a member of the senior management team, she was responsible for ensuring all departments worked together effectively to support and advance company initiatives, maximize revenues, and provide outstanding service to constituents. When she was named to that position in 2011, she became the first female Vice President in the history of Minor League Baseball.

Tina spent her first ten years with Minor League Baseball in its Licensing Department, working with member teams to manage branding and logo development, in addition to promoting the sale of licensed merchandise. After starting as an intern, she held the positions of Assistant Director and Associate Director before being named Director of Licensing in 2008.

Tina’s first experience working for organized baseball was as a volunteer for the St. Cloud River Bats during their inaugural season in the Northwoods League.

Tina graduated from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Ohio University with a Master of Sports Administration and Facility Management degree. Tina, her husband Jason, and stepchildren Aiden, Maiah and Jilene reside in Rochester, MN.
