“We feel 60 games is the perfect number for each club,” said GWL President Ken Wilson. “We’ll be putting on an All-Star Game Extravaganza in July and an exciting Post-Season Play-Off in August.”
Marysville, Medford and Sacramento will open their home seasons on June 3, while Chico and Lodi will open at home the following night. Portland’s home opener will be June 10. The schedule is balanced with each club playing the other five teams twelve times, with six games at home and six games on the road.
The 2016 All-Star Game is scheduled for Tuesday, July 26 at a site to be announced.
Four of the six teams will make the post-season play-offs, which begin Saturday, August 13. The first place finisher will play the fourth place finisher and the second place finisher will play the third place finisher in best-of-three first round series. The two winners will play in the best-of-three Championship Series, which begins Wednesday, August 17.
The schedule can be viewed here on the Great West League website.
