One person here thought the idea crossed the line when announced and challenged the team to a “testicular cancer awareness night” to make it fair. First, this was done with class and sponsored by United Heathcare. Second, while a testicular night doesn’t come to mind from this year’s minor-league promotional slate, at least two teams bring awareness to prostate cancer with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Single-A, South Atlantic League) giving away a bobble finger and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Triple-A, International League) giving away a foam finger.
