PRESS RELEASE – The Montgomery Biscuits received a shout out from the Today Show this week and the regional interest has peaked. It has been confirmed that the Today Show will again feature the Biscuits tomorrow morning between the 8-9 am segment of the Today Show.
“The response to viewing of Mondays segment, via emails, texts and Facebook post have been overwhelming,” Sherrie Myers, owner of the Biscuits, said. “Of course everyone knows Al Roker is beloved, but this is amazing.”
There was a request of the team to ask the City of Montgomery and the Mayor if they would open up the stadium to have a Watch Party tomorrow morning. The mayor, Todd Strange, told Myers that since Riverwalk Stadium is a multi -purpose stadium, he thought it was a great idea. The Scoreboard will feature the Today Show live on NBC, WSFA, Channel 12 tomorrow morning. The Biscuits AGM of Food and Special Events, David Parker, has arranged to serve, none other than Biscuits, free to all who attend. Gates will open at 7:30am. WSFA will be on hand to celebrate.
