The Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A, Southern League) won’t be moving into MGM Park as expected on June 6 due to construction delays. Instead, the team will remain on the road until the City of Biloxi and its partner, Yates Construction, can finish the job. Why didn’t they just stay in Huntsville one more season? Serves them right. Everybody in such a hurry. The one year building plan was bound to have problems. I’m hoping for more problems and a late August opening, just in time for the end of the season.
How long does it take to typically build a AA size ballpark? I always thought you needed 12 months to be on the safe side, though I’ve heard some say that you only need 9 or 10 months.
