BlueClaws to Salute Retiring Late Night TV Host David Letterman Tonight

Lakewood BlueClaws Alternative LogoPRESS RELEASE – A television icon is set to retire, and the BlueClaws will honor the career of David Letterman at their game on Friday, May 22nd.

Lakewood BlueClaws Salute to David LettermanThe night is officially “David Letterman Appreciation Night” at FirstEnergy Park, and will feature a full tribute to the outgoing late-night tv host. Plus, there will be post-game fireworks thanks to Woodhaven Lumber.

The BlueClaws will unveil several Top Ten lists between innings (Top Ten Ways to Identify a BlueClaws Fan being one example). Breaks will include Letterman staples like “Stupid Pet Tricks.”

Buster recently went on a visit to the show and there will be pictures of his trip into the city as well. In addition, the BlueClaws will be giving out a series of Letterman prizes given out to fans as well.

A desk, representing Letterman’s desk at the Ed Sullivan Theater, will replace the information booth on the concourse that night.

BlueClaws fans have been writing Letters to Letterman at recent games which have been sent in to the retiring Late Show host.

The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore’s top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led the South Atlantic League and New Jersey in attendance in all 14 years of existence.
