PRESS RELEASE – Portland’s Baseball Team will reveal the team nickname tomorrow (Tuesday, April 21) at noon in the gymnasium at Woodstock Elementary School at 5601 S.E. 50th Avenue (just north of SE Woodstock Road).
A Name Your Team Contest began March 10 and concluded April 10, with six nicknames to choose from. The Nicknames were Pickles, Red Dogs, Pliers, Mud Hounds, Pixels and Posse.
Nearly 100 Woodstock Elementary 5th graders will be on hand for the announcement.
The summer college wood-bat team begins play in the Great West League in June, 2016.
