PRESS RELEASE – Christmas is coming early to Battle Creek this year. The Battle Creek Bombers have announced a unique twist on Christmas in July, now scheduled for July 24th at C.O. Brown Stadium and presented by Davis Oil.
The team has developed an ‘Elf’ themed jersey – likely the first of its kind – to be worn by players and coaches on this night only. While many minor league teams have often worn Christmas themed jerseys, such as those mirroring Santa, this Elf jersey is a new twist on a unique tradition. The ‘Elf’ jersey can also be yours to take home, as the team will conduct a silent auction throughout the night allowing fans to bid on all game worn jerseys.
In addition to team jerseys, C.O. Brown stadium is also receiving a Christmas style makeover. To promote the annual Battle Creek International Festival of Lights, the ballpark will be decorated with many of the same lights used in the Festival. And while fans can also expect multiple ‘Elf’ sightings throughout the night, as well as a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Clause, the first 300 children through the gates will also receive a very special “Christmas present”– an actual 28” wooden bat. The Bombers expect this to be one of their most popular and highly anticipated giveaway items ever.
In order to ensure your ticket to Christmas in July, the team recommends purchasing a 2015 Flex Plan today, which start as low as $65. Flex Plans, Season Tickets, and Group Outings are all available now by calling the front office at (269)-962-0735 or by emailing info@battlecreekbombers.com.
