PRESS RELEASE – Highlighted by an unprecedented 21 fireworks dates, the Schaumburg Boomers presented by Wintrust Community Banks are rolling out a 2015 Promotional Schedule full of famous entertainment acts, gotta-have-em giveaways, tried-and-true theme nights, and as the centerpiece – the 2015 Frontier League All-Star Game.
All Boomers’ promotional events will be presented with the first-class brand of family-friendly, affordable fun and entertainment fans have come to expect from Chicagoland’s only back-to-back championship baseball franchise.
Single-Game Tickets including the Frontier League All-Star Home Run Derby on July 14th and All-Star Game on July 15th are now available! The fourth season of Boomers Baseball kicks off on Memorial Day weekend with a Championship Celebration and three straight days of fireworks courtesy of WINTRUST COMMUNITY BANKS! You won’t want to miss a minute of it!
The weekend begins with Opening Night on Friday, May 22 as the Back-To-Back Champion Boomers receive their rings and we raise the Championship Flag to commemorate the 2014 Frontier League title, followed by an amazing Fireworks Show and a performance by the legendary Jesse White Tumblers! The excitement continues the following night as the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Replica Championship Ring, courtesy of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. Law Offices! And there’s no better way to cap off Memorial Day Weekend in #Boomerica than with a third straight night of fireworks, presented by WINTRUST COMMUNITY BANKS, along with a FREE 2015 Boomers Schedule Magnet, courtesy of Frato’s Pizza and Daily Herald, to the first 1,000 fans!
Dial up your baby sitter now because 21 and Over Night presented by Lagunitas is back on Thursday, May 28! Join us for an evening of grown-up fun at the ballpark with a special 7:30 p.m. start time, complete with games on the concourse you may remember from college, a bags tournament, a pre-game ceremonial first toast, and who knows what else! Showing our versatility, we invite all the daddy’s and daughters to come out for Princess Night on Saturday, May 30th, complete with a pre-game parade and post–game fireworks!
The fun continues in June at Boomers Stadium, beginning with fan favorite Harry Potter Night on June 5, featuring a costume contest, make-your-own-wand station, and more! Do not miss the first–ever Boomers’ Car Flag Giveaway on June 6, courtesy of WINTRUST COMMUNITY BANKS. We’re letting the dogs in on Sunday, June 7, so bring your four-legged friends to the game for the first of two Bark in the Park Nights of the season as your pooch can participate in the pre-game pet parade and even run the bases after the game!
July starts off with a BANG in #Boomerica, as the back-to-back Frontier League champions celebrate Independence Day with America’s Pastime and back-to-back days of fireworks on July 3-4, courtesy of WINTRUST COMMUNITY BANKS. Be sure to get to the ballpark early on July 3, because the first 1,000 fans will receive a Patriotic Boomers Hat, thanks to our partners at COUNTRY Financial and stay late for the Fireworks and a special performance by the Jesse White Tumblers! As an added bonus, famous ballpark entertainer Myron Noodleman makes his Boomers Stadium debut on the 4th! Bust out the cape July 10th on Super Hero Night , eat a cheeseburger with us on Jimmy Buffett Night on July 24, and we’ll be two-stepping on the 25th, it’s Country Night at Boomers Stadium followed by an amazing Fireworks show courtesy of WINTRUST COMMUNITY BANKS! After all of that, you will have the opportunity to “cool off” at the Fourth Annual Squirt Gun Fight on Sunday, July 26. A Boomers staple, this is one crazy, wet, and wild day at the ballpark, as we transform Boomers Stadium into a water wonderland. We’ll provide the squirt gun to the first 1,000 fans, and everyone will be invited onto the field after the game as we go for the world record.
Hey Ladies! On Thursday, July 30, the Diamond Dig is back as we are giving away a diamond ring courtesy of Wyatt Austin Jewelers! All women 18 years of age or older are eligible to look for a diamond ring buried in the infield after the game! And don’t worry dudes, the following Thursday, August 6, the Boomers’ first-ever Remote Control Dig takes place on the infield post-game courtesy of J.U.L.I.E. 811! Whoever finds the remote control rides home with a large screen TV from Aaron’s! The festivities continue into the weekend with family fun, fireworks and may the force be with the Boomers on Star Wars Night on Friday, August 7. And where else but Boomers Stadium would you be encouraged to hurl marshmallows at your friends? Grab some ammo and get yourself down to the ballpark for the Third Annual Boomers Marshmallow Fight on Saturday, August 8! Fans will enjoy a special appearance by the world famous Zooperstars throughout the game!
The Boomers encourage you to play hooky on Wednesday, August 12, Wednesday, August 19 and Wednesday, September 2 for our special 1 p.m. Businessperson’s Days. Take that extra-long lunch or better yet, convince your boss to close the office and treat the whole gang to an afternoon of Boomers Baseball!
On Thursday, August 20th it’s time to reward the adults again with another 21 and Over Night presented by Lagunitas! Bring the kids the following night Friday, August 21, as Boomers Stadium turns into a magic castle complete with costume contests and post-game fireworks on Disney Night! Back by popular demand is Zombie Night on Saturday, August 22 as we will “live it up” into the night with a post-game appearance by the acrobatic Jesse White Tumblers and Fireworks presented by WINTRUST COMMUNITY BANKS!
It’s time to treat the dogs again on Sunday, August 23, for the season’s final Bark in the Park!
The Boomers push for a three-peat rolls on with more Fireworks Shows on August 28 & 29 and we cap off the 2015 regular season with Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday, September 3, as we salute the great fans of #Boomerica and say thank you for another year of support. What better way to end the season than with a grand finale of fireworks and some giveaways, of course?!
