Threshers Announce 2015 Promo Calendar

Clearwater Threshers Logo 2PRESS RELEASE – The Clearwater Threshers have announced their 2015 promotional calendar. Highlights of the summer fun at Bright House Field this season include concerts, theme nights, Bobblehead giveaways and 14 fireworks shows. Plus, a new video board in left field will display high-definition fun and entertainment all season.

The Threshers Summer Concert Series, presented by Leinenkugel and New Belgium, features five Friday nights of post-game music on April 17, May 29, June 26, July 17, and August 14. The annual Old School Show on July 17 coincides with Pitch for Pink breast cancer awareness night and will have Treach and Kay Gee of Naughty by Nature on stage after the game with local opening act Infinite Skillz.

Two Bobblehead giveaways are sure to bring out collectors and fans alike. On April 17, a Phinley Bobblehead will be handed out to commemorate his 2014 MiLB Mascot Mania Championship, complete with the championship belt. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is helping the Threshers honor aquarium residents Ricky and Lucy, who collectively played the pelican “Rufus” in the “Dolphin Tale” movies. A Rufus Bobblehead giveaway, presented by the Tampa Bay Times, is on July 24, part of the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce Night.

The Threshers and Clearwater are celebrating two significant milestones this season. On May 27, Bright House Field is hosting the City of Clearwater Centennial Celebration with fireworks and a baseball giveaway. On July 25, the Threshers will be celebrating 30 years of Phillies Minor League Baseball in Clearwater with a commemorative coin giveaway and post-game fireworks. Alumni from the Clearwater Phillies and Threshers of the past three decades will be on-hand to be honored during on-field ceremonies and take part in the festivities during the game.

Opportunities abound for participation in fun theme nights: dress up in your favorite costume or attire for 70s Night on April 17, Star Wars Night on April 18 with the 501st Legion, Princess and Pirates Night for the kids on May 12, Pirate Krewe Night on June 13, and 90s Night on June 26. The family-friendly performance act, the Zooperstars!, will provide in-game entertainment on Faith and Family Night on June 12 and a post-game concert will cap off the evening.

Other notable dates on the promotional calendar: Opening Night by Regions Bank on April 9, Soccer Day is April 19, Bark at the Ballpark on May 3, Education Day presented by Mathnasium takes place May 13, Prostate Cancer Awareness Night on May 16, Motorcycle Day by Cycle Springs on May 17, Scout Night on July 18, and Veterans and Military Appreciation Night presented by Bosley and Bratch is on August 15.

Daily promotions include Bright House Brunch at the Ballpark on Sundays, Feeding Frenzy Mondays, Regions Bank $1.00 Tuesdays, Lil’ Anglers Kids Club Tuesdays, Silver Sharks Wednesdays by Belcher Bingo, Ladies Night and Thirsty Thursdays presented by Tijuana Flats, Tampa Bay Times Family Night Fridays, and post-game fireworks on Saturdays.
