Hillcats Complete Video Board Installation

Lynchburg Hillcats LogoPRESS RELEASE – Fans visiting City Stadium during the 2015 season will have a new way to view all of the action. The Lynchburg Hillcats teamed up with TS Sports to install a 15-foot high, 25-foot wide, Panasonic LED video board beyond the right-center field wall. In all, the board will use 276,480 LEDs. Despite lots of snow on the ground, the project was recently completed, and the Hillcats plan to use the month of March learning how to best utilize all of the video board’s capabilities.

Lynchburg Hillcats New Videoboard“The Lynchburg Hillcats are committed to providing the best possible family-friendly experience for our fans. This video board allows us to add new elements to enhance that experience. I’m excited to see it on game day,” said Hillcats President Paul Sunwall.

In addition to the video board, the Hillcats purchased a wireless high-definition camera to be able to display both live action and replays on the screen. Opened in 1940 and renovated in 2004, City Stadium holds more than 4,000 people, includes 14 luxury boxes, and now features a high-definition video board to create an even greater fan experience.

“The new video board will completely transform Calvin Falwell Field – providing excellent image clarity and remarkable brightness. The Hillcats fans and staff will not be disappointed with the high quality of our products and will notice an amplified game day experience,” said TS Sports Account Executive, Brent Waldrum.

Lynchburg’s home opener is slated for Thursday, April 16 when the Hillcats take on the Potomac Nationals at 6:30 p.m. Season tickets as well as single-game and book tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 434-528-1144.
