PRESS RELEASE – El Paso’s favorite act, the Famous San Diego Chicken, returns in 2015, highlighting the El Paso Chihuahuas entertainment schedule! Fans will also get the opportunity to collect a new pair of bobble-giveaways, as a Pat Murphy bobblehead and a Chico bobblebelly headline the Chihuahuas list of 21 featured souvenirs this season.
Individual tickets go on sale this Saturday, February 14 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets in person at the Southwest University Park Durango Box Office or online at EPChihuahuas.com.
The ZOOperstars!, the hilarious animalistic superstars, are the first act to come to El Paso this season; they will perform on May 29th. With well-choreographed skits, the ZOOperstars! provide fun entertainment with performers such as Cow Ripken, Jr., Clammy Sosa, Harry Canary, Ken Giraffey, Jr. and more!
Bucket Ruckus is new to the El Paso baseball scene. Bucket Ruckus is an eclectic percussion group that entertains fans while banging on 5-gallon buckets, dugout tops, running through the stands leading cheers and engaging guests. The group will perform on Friday, June 19th.
Known for his comedic and on-the-field antics, the Famous San Diego Chicken comes to El Paso on Tuesday, Aug. 11th. Kids and adults are guaranteed a night of entertainment from the Sun City favorite!
The Chihuahuas kick-off 2015 with six giveaways in the first eight games of the season. Rally towels are the featured gift on Opening Night and Southwest University Magnet Schedules will be handed out to guests on April 11th, April 15th and 16th. A fan featuring Chihuahuas mascot, Chico, will be the gift to the first 2,000 guests 12 and under on Sunday, April 12th, as will Southwest Dairy Farmers Drawstring Bags during the day game on Tuesday, April 14th.
Nine of the 21 giveaways are for children 12 and under, including a GECU Lola Piggybank (July 12th) in celebration of GECU Bark at the Park and the team’s live chihuahua mascot, Lola, and a backpack on August 23rd for GECU Back to School Night.
Featured as part of the 2015 giveaways is a Pat Murphy Bobblehead and the Chico Bobblebelly. The Murphy bobblehead honors the Chihuahuas field manager and will be given away on July 31st to the first 2,000 guests. The Chico Bobblebelly will be handed out to the first 2,000 kids 12 and under on August 2nd.
All giveaways are with paid admission. Guests must be present to receive a giveaway. All promotions, themes, and dates are subject to change.
The Chihuahuas Opening Day is April 9 versus the Tacoma Rainiers, the start of an eight game homestand. The Chihuahuas are now accepting group and hospitality reservations.
