Pedro Martinez Bobblehead Highlights Fightins 2015 Promo Schedule

Reading Fightin Phills LogoPRESS RELEASE – A Pedro Martinez Bobblehead highlighting his historic 2009 rehab start in Baseballtown highlights the Reading Fightin Phils’ updated 2015 promotional schedule. Originally released in December, the updated schedule features additional giveaways, theme nights, and changes.

On August 5, 2009, Baseballtown was treated to a rehab appearance by the Hall of Fame pitcher following his heralded free agent signing with the Philadelphia Phillies. As he made his way back to the majors, Martinez passed through Reading where he picked up the win after throwing six innings in front of the second-largest crowd in FirstEnergy Stadium history. He later went on to join the Phillies rotation and lead them to their second straight National League title.

Untitled-2Years later, baseball fans still speak of that night and now, the first 2,500 adults on July 28th will be able to take home a collector’s bobblehead celebrating that night.

A full promotional schedule with all of the updates can be found HERE.

Along with the addition of the Martinez bobblehead, the Fightins will be celebrating Father’s Day by giving out a Fightins Aussie Floppy Hat to the first 2,000 men 15 & over on June 21st thanks to CJ’s Tire & Automotive Services. The Aussie Floppy Hat is perfect for shielding the sun on hot summer days or on the golf course.

There are now more giveaways for kids in 2015 with the addition of Fightins Ostrich Tube Socks on June 23rd and a Fightins Stainless Water Bottle on August 12th. Both items will be presented to the first 2,000 kids 14 & under thanks to Pepsi.

An increasingly popular night in Baseballtown over the past few seasons, Christmas in July on July 16th now features a Fightins Stocking giveaway to the first 5,000 fans sponsored by CJ’s Tire and Automotive Services. Paired with last season’s Santa Hat, the Fightins Stocking will make sure you have a very Fightins Christmas come December.

PrintBerks County’s roots are deeply entrenched with German heritage and the Pennsylvania Dutch culture and on August 19th, the Fightins will host German Night and present a Fightins Ceramic Beer Stein to the first 2,500 adults 21 and over thanks to All Star Distributing.
